Members of the Waste Data and Analysis Center (WDAC) attended the 2025 Federation of New York Solid Waste Conference and Trade Show, which was held from May 18-21 at the Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing, New York. At the conference, WDAC hosted a booth where team representatives met with New York solid waste professionals. The team was there to network, discuss progress in the solid waste field, and share findings from the New York Waste Characterization Study.
The representatives from WDAC included Griffin Walker (Sampling Specialist), Hailey Lee (Sampling Specialist), Isabella Park (Undergraduate Research Assistant), and Shizhe Li (Summer Research Assistant).
Other WDAC members were also present at the event. Sagarika Srivastava, a Graduate Research Assistant, attended as the winner of the Evan R. Liblit Memorial Scholarship. Ashpreet Kaur, a Sampling Specialist, attended as a representative for the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) New York chapter.
