The Waste Data & Analysis Center (WDAC) actively engaged with New York’s solid waste community at the New York State Association for Solid Waste Management (NYSASWM) Fall Conference in Lake Placid from September 22nd to 24th, 2024. Representing WDAC, Dr. Yiyi Wang (Sampling Program Manager), Griffin Walker (Sampling Program Specialist), and Alfred Manu (Research Student) connected with engineers, operators, and other stakeholders to discuss current trends and challenges in the waste characterization study, particularly in New York State.
In addition to networking and knowledge sharing, the WDAC team took the opportunity to promote the center’s ongoing waste characterization study and encourage participation from NYSASWM members.
