The Waste Data & Analysis Center (WDAC) actively engaged with New York’s recycling and waste reduction community at the New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse, and Recycling (NYSAR3) Conference, held in Cooperstown from November 6th to 8th, 2024. Our team connected with sustainability professionals, local government leaders, and industry experts to discuss innovations, challenges, and opportunities in recycling and solid waste management.

The WDAC team tabled at the event, showcasing the center’s ongoing waste characterization studies and data-driven initiatives aimed at improving waste reduction and recycling efforts across New York State. This provided an excellent platform to promote the center’s work, foster collaborations, and encourage participation from NYSAR3 members in upcoming research and data collection efforts.

By participating in NYSAR3, WDAC continues to strengthen its ties with New York’s recycling community and remain at the forefront of advancing sustainable waste management practices.
